Admissions

Applications for the Class of 2025 (matriculation date of August 2024) are now being accepted.

All applicants must complete the digital application for MBS program acceptance.

Please provide electronic copies of the required documents for streamlined processing and application review. Applicants should upload documents via the application system or email them directly to MBSAdmissions@cusm.edu.

There is an application fee of $50. Payment instructions will be delivered to the email address provided on the application. CUSM receives payments via the PayPal system.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's (baccalaureate) degree from a regionally accredited undergraduate college or university in the US or an equivalent degree from a non-US accredited institution verified for equivalency (course by course with GPA) by a transcript evaluation agency that is a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES).
  • Official transcript* indicating a minimum undergraduate degree of 2.8. Admissions preference is given to candidates with a 3.0 or above GPS.
  • Two letters of recommendation (or one committee letter from the Applicant's undergraduate institution within the past two years).
    • Letters should be written on letterhead and include the author's hand-written or digital signature.
    • Letters should be submitted electronically to MBSAdmissions@cusm.edu.
    • Letters will be accepted via Interfolio.
  • Personal Statement/CV
Your personal statement must address why the CUSM MBS program supports your personal goals and how your background has prepared you for program success. Stay under 250 words.
  • Professional test scores (ex: MCAT, GRE, DAT) ARE NOT required for admission, but reported test scores will be available to the admissions committee.

 

Application Review Process

  • Applications will not be reviewed until all documentation has been provided.
  • Applicants will be notified of the committee decision via email.

 

Academic Transcripts

*Unofficial transcripts may be submitted in support of the application. If accepted, an official transcript must be submitted by the end of the first MBS program semester to continue to the second semester.

Official Transcript

Please submit transcripts from the institution granting your Bachelor's degree. Transcripts must include complete academic records, including courses, grades, GPA, and degree conferred.

 

We can receive transcripts via eScript and Parchment.

Additional Program Information

If accepted to the CUSM MBS program, the following requirements must be met before matriculation.
  • Consent to the following background checks:
    • Substance abuse screening
    • Proof of immunization status. All students must meet the immunization requirements set by CUSM. Detailed information will be provided with the Acceptance Letter.
  • Must attend the CUSM-MBS orientation program.
  • Applicant must be a US citizen, permanent resident, or have Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) status with a social security number.

 

All CUSM

MBS classes are conducted in English. CUSM does not offer English language services, including English as a second language (ESL) courses. All students must be able to read and write English at the college graduate level, as demonstrated by a college degree. Applicants not graduates of a US college or university must take the TOEFL examination and submit scores. A minimum score of 550 is required on the TOEFL paper examination, while a minimum score of 80 is required on the TOEFL iBT. Contact MBSAdmissions@cusm.edu with further questions.
